What is Bon Appétit Kids?
Bon Appétit Kids is South Florida's original all-natural and organic, hot school lunch program. The meals are prepared fresh daily by our gourmet chefs in our state of the art commercial kitchen, and contain no additives, preservatives, hormones or chemicals. The meals are then delivered hot and fresh to your child's school, camp, or classroom.
What is included?
Your child will receive a well balanced meal that includes a hot entrée, tasty sides, and fresh fruit, or a healthy dessert that meets the USDA's recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals. A bottle of spring water is included with each lunch, and can be replaced with organic juice or milk for an additional fee. Additional snacks and drinks may be purchased a la carte on a daily basis.
Which schools do you deliver?
We deliver to participating local private schools, which are listed on our School Lunch page on our website, at www.bonappetitkids.com. If your child's private school is not one of our participants and you would like to bring our program to their school, please call us at 305.281.0735, or suggest your school to us by clicking here.
Why don't you offer more daily menu choices?
We have created an incredibly delicious, gourmet set menu utilizing only the finest all-natural and organic ingredients. In order to keep the price accessible to more families we can only produce a limited selection each day. However, we do have six alternate meals (including vegetarian options) that are available every day, which you can choose in place of the set meal for that day. These options can be seen at the bottom of the School Lunch Menus.
Why does the price vary from month to month?
The monthly price is based on the number of days the school will be open that month and is billed at $4.99/6.75 (depending on the portion selected), plus tax and $.50 delivery fee, per delivery day. The calculation takes into account holidays, early dismissal days, etc, to reach a monthly total that ensures you only pay for those meals delivered each month.
How do I tell you if I want an Alternate Meal on any given day of the month?
Once registered on our website you can login and manage your child's account with our simple system. A calendar appears that highlights the days you have purchased meals and allows you click on any date and choose and alternate meal, or post-pone that day if you know your child will be absent. Simply click on the 'alternates' word on any day that you wish and a drop-down list of our alternate meals will appear. Scroll to the meal you would like to select and click it. If you choose to postpone a meal it will simply add an extra day to the end of your calendar, so that you receive the meal you paid for. **You must select Alternate Meals and/or Postpone meals at least 48 hours in advance. The program will not allow you to change ANYTHING within 48 hours of a delivery. Please do not call the office to make these requests.
Do I have to pay for the days my child misses school?
Not if you know at least 48 hours in advance. Simply log into your account and choose 'postpone' on any day you know your child will miss for any reason. The meal will be added to the end of your calendar and will not be lost.
Do I have to order and pay online?
Our new website allows you to set up your personal profile that will be stored and ready for you whenever you log back in. While it's convenient and easy to order on our website and pay using our secure system, you can always call and speak to our concierge directly. We are happy to assist you in choosing the plan that best suits you and your child. From there, we will send you an invoice that you may pay by personal check or credit card over the phone. However, we must have receipt of your payment before your child is added to our delivery schedule. If you are planning to pay by check, please allow enough lead time for us to receive it.
How can I confirm my order was placed?

What forms of payment are accepted?
Using our SECURE PAYMENT system you can use the credit card of your choice. If you place your order by phone, email or fax you can mail a personal check to our mailing address:
